PPL or LAPL TRAINING in CESSNA 172

avzvThe Cessna 172 is much larger than the 150 but is also very suitable for training. Being a four seater it is much roomier too and is perfect for those longer trips or if you need to carry a passenger. Ours also has a Rolls Royce engine. 

 

TAILWHEEL TRAINING in PIPER SUPERCUB

Cub pictureOur Piper Supercub is one of the last ones built by Piper and is an absolute joy to fly. It has the larger 150hp engine and metal flaps. Once you've got your licence this really is the next challenge. 

 

INSTRUMENT IR(r) and NIGHT TRAINING in HAWK XP

CI This aircraft is not available for PPL/LAPL training but is perfect for Instrument (cloud) flying and night training with it's comprehensive GARMIN instrument panel and powerful engine.

Examiner rate in Cessna 150/172 - £215 per hour (includes aircraft hire) 
Examiner rate in Hawk XP - £235 per hour (includes aircraft hire)
External examiner rate for skills test - £200 (does not include aircraft hire)
Solo hire of Cessna 150 - £125 per hour
Solo hire of Cessna 172 - £136 per hour
Instruction in your own aircraft - £45 per hour
Examination in your own aircraft - £85 per hour
Ground exams - £27

Sorry but neither the Supercub or the Hawk XP are available for solo hire

There are no membership fees at Rutland Flying School. 

All the above prices are fully inclusive of VAT and there are no extra charges for home landing fees.
